Class schedule: 7:30am \u2014 2:45pm (Kindergarten to Grade 5)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bilingual (English and Khmer)*<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Each class has a foreign teacher who is a fluent English speaker and a Khmer teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maximum of 22 students per class<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students in Primary become fluent in two languages – English and Khmer, as we focus on literacy in both. In English we use the Cambridge International Curriculum as our framework for attaining our language goals. This curriculum is rigorous and fits in with middle and high school, where we also use Cambridge standards and examinations. Students either study the Khmer National Curriculum, published by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, or study in our Khmer as a Foreign Language classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With literacy in English and Khmer, we use our students’ own personal environments as a starting place for learning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Mathematics, we follow the Cambridge International Curriculum standards for Mathematics as well as the Khmer National Curriculum. We use the Singapore Math approach, based on students developing problem solving skills, as well as White Rose Maths resources from the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For other subjects, we use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Our methodology here is child-centered, inquiry-based and we aim to challenge our learners to engage in, and own, their learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Primary classes also have special classes throughout the week, including PE, Swimming, Library, Music, Art, Life Skills and Robotics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mathematics: Cambridge International Curriculum, Khmer National Curriculum, 6 hours per week<\/p>\n\n\n\n

International Primary Curriculum (IPC) using a thematic approach to learning Art, Geography, History, ICT & Computing, Music, Physical Education, Science and Technology (9 hours per week)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special Subjects: PE, Swimming, Art, Music, Library, Robotics, Life Skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n
