Secondary Principal

Welcome!

My name is Evangeline Villagonzalo and I am privileged to serve as the Principal of East-West International School. I bring over 20 years of experience in international education, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse student communities across different cultural contexts.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Education, which have both shaped my holistic approach to teaching, learning and leadership.  Before joining East-West, I served as an MYP teacher and Socio Emotional Counselor at an IB school in the Philippines. These experiences have deepened my commitment to student-centered education – where academic development, emotional well-being and intercultural understanding go hand in hand in shaping lifelong learners.

At East-West, I am grateful to be part of a community that values curiosity, resilience, and a passion for continuous learning. We are committed to nurturing students who not only achieve academic success but also develop the skills, mindsets and character to thrive in a complex ever-evolving world.

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy traveling, exploring different cultures and trying new cuisines. I find joy in reading, gardening and engaging in arts and crafts – activities that reflect my own love for learning and help keep me curious, grounded and inspired.

It’s deeply rewarding to work alongside a dedicated team of educators who lead a school where learning never stops, where every member of the community is encouraged to grow, discover and thrive.

I look forward to supporting our students as they become thoughtful, resilient, and globally minded individuals.
