School Operations Manager

My name is Sarun, and I currently serve as the School Coordinator and Operations Manager at East-West International School (EWIS). I have been with EWIS since its inception in 2006, starting my journey as a Preschool Teacher Assistant. As the school grew, I was promoted to the position of Khmer language teacher. EWIS has always prioritized professional development, offering valuable training courses for staff members, which I greatly appreciate. Teaching has always been my passion, and I find joy in working with children from diverse backgrounds.
 
In 2006, I took on the role of School Coordinator, and I am proud to be celebrating my 19th year at East-West International. What I greatly appreciate most about EWIS is the freedom it provides. I have the flexibility to teach in my own style while aligning with the school’s goals, vision, and mission. This approach also informs my work as a School Coordinator and Operations Manager. I thrive on challenges and love to learn new things. I hope to see EWIS develop into a unique community where we create our own culture, free from racism, where we respect and care for one another.

Outside of work I own multiple businesses and coach our Junior and Senior Girls Volleyball Teams. Competing will always be a passion of mine.

PE Teacher

Hello everyone. I’m Ravy. I’m Cambodian and I have a long history at EWIS since I started as a bus assistant in 2011 and moved to special assistant before becoming a PE teacher in 2018. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University in Cambodia but I found out that I have interest in sports. I really enjoy working with the PE department and my best part is also coaching volleyball and football and being a big fan of the EWIS sports team. I’m looking forward to seeing our new year program and hanging out with our community team.

Hi, I’m a school librarian and I’m Cambodian. I’ve worked at  EWIS since 2008.

Vocal Teacher

My Name is Solieta Bargo, but you can call me Sol. I am from the Philippines. My passion is music. I have been a piano mozart teacher and a vocal coach since 2011.

I am also the lead singer of a band for 19 years. I sing different genres, I love singing, dancing, and I love cooking as well. I enjoy swimming so much even though I don’t know how to swim 🙂 I love dogs and cats.

Guitar Teacher

Hello everyone, my name is Paquito Corbe but you can call me Alex for short. I’m the lead guitarist  in the band. I play classical and Electric guitar. I have worked as a music teacher for 9 years. I also teach random instruments such as bass, ukulele and reading notations.

I am a very simple and quiet person but I am friendly. I love drinking coffee while practicing a song. It wakes me up.
