Board Member

Ali Copple is a leading consultant in education with 30 years in curriculum development and education in the USA, Indonesia and Cambodia. Ali was a founding member of the ISPP school community and has also taught at Northbridge International School. She currently serves on the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia and is a founding member of Enduring Consultancy. ​She is also part of the WASC international team of educators, providing assessment, evaluation and recommendations for the accreditation of schools in Asia.

Mr. Van Vannak is the Chief Financial Officer of NTC Group. He has primary responsibility for managing the company’s finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting. He is in charge of all strategic and tactical matters relating to budget management, cost–benefit analysis, and forecasting needs. In addition, he is the well-known financial spokesperson for the organization who is considered to be an accountable, result-oriented and quality-oriented individual. He is the role model of Accounting and Finance Department of NTC Group.

Mr. Van Vannak graduated from Human Resources University with a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance and a Master of Auditing. He is now pursuing his international ACCA at CamEd Business School. Additionally, he has attended many short courses in Cambodia and other countries around the world. He has never stopped sharpening his knowledge and skills which help continuously contribute to the development of NTC Group as a whole.

Oknha Chea Thilay is the Chairman and founder of NTC Group, as well as an influential leader in education in Cambodia. As the founder of East-West International School, he has provided the clear visions, initiatives, courage, integrity, humility, strategic planning capability, motivational capacity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to help the school succeed and grow.

Oknha Chea Thilay graduated from the Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL) with a Bachelor of Arts in French. In addition, he has completed many short courses both nationally and internationally.

Sandra Chipps came to Cambodia with her husband and three of her four children in January, 1996. She taught at ISPP for 5 years and Northbridge for 4 years. In 2006 she became founding principal of East-West International School and remained principal until January, 2016. She now lives in Australia and travels to Cambodia three times a year for East-West International School Board meetings. She believes it is a wonderful privilege to continue to be a part of East-West as the school has a caring approach to education and a desire that all students can achieve according to their abilities. She is grateful for the honor of being part of the wonderful family that is East-West and thankful for the partnership between students, parents, staff and the Board.
